A Playground for All

More than just a playground.

The Place to Gather Adventure Playground will be an ADA accessible, multi-terrain recreational landscape that will be as creative and imaginative as it is enjoyable and fun. We intend for our Adventure Playground to create a story that adventurers of all shapes and sizes can re-write every time they play.

The landscape of the playground will be groomed hills of varying levels, which will have play elements built into the hillside (including slides and climbing features). The meandering walkways and sloping valleys will be filled with boats, forts, gardens, instruments, sensory experiences, and quiet resting places. The pinnacle of the hillside will be an ADA accessible treehouse that will inspire even the most timid of climbers. For the more daring thrill-seeker, the surrounding area will have ADA accessible zip lines and nest swings.

The theme of our playground will be “Swiss Family Robinson,” therefore, either natural elements or imitations of natural elements will be used in all construction. For instance, equipment will either be made out of wood and natural structures or concrete that will be made to look like wood.

The approximate area of the park will be 1 acre and will be professionally landscaped to create a peaceful, serene ambiance.
